    Today I really love that Great Blue Heron stood proud and tall but most of all the Common Tern head shot is just brill - rarely see one so close like that.

    Enjoy your week of doing nothing except birding - I do.

  16. Wonderful shots, Anni! The Great Blue Heron is so funny, he looks like you caught him out with his thighs all moulted to bare pink. That's where we used to go for field trips, but for invertebrates, not birds, so slugging through the mud flats looking for critters.
