"Kis-s-s- - ka - Dee"!!!


I spotted this nest months ago, and for weeks, no activity that I noticed. Well, a couple of weeks ago [the latter part of August], I happened to be nearby and the parent was above me, making a ruckus. Then, I knew why...




...as far as I could tell, there were three fledglings

    I have never seen a real one, they are pretty. My, what a huge nest! Almost the size of a duck nest!

    That's some nest you found Anni. I'm bound to ask, is that a normal one or have the Kiskadees used part of the nest of a larger bird still? Nice work, you and the birds.
