A wonderful portfolio. Love them all! The waterthrush reminds me of my failure to ever get a decent photo of the Louisiana Waterthrush. They are early migrants and may even have passed through already and I have probably missed them again.
ReplyDeleteSplendid little darlings Anni, love all your photos and they never fail to bring me joy. Thank you so much! I am happy to have a few birds to share this week. Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos! You could photograph for a nature magazine. The stilt with his very long legs looks like he is in a hurry; either running or walking. He is my favorite, and next are the Whistling Ducks. Have you ever heard them whistle, and o they sound like a person whistling?
ReplyDeleteHello Anni!:) Wonderful selection of birds, and photos. How I would love to see an Indigo Bunting, it's such a beauty, but I love them all.:) Have a great weekend.:)
ReplyDeletelovely indigo. adorable stilt-walker. :) whistlers, of course, are always adorable. the plover is, too.
ReplyDeleteso many gorgeous species. Love the Phalarope and stilt :)
ReplyDeleteI fantastic selection of photographs in this post
ReplyDeleteThe Indigo Bunting is so blue it is astonishing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting!
Hi Anni. I’m sure you’ve sorted them by now.
ReplyDeletein situ – meaning “In the original place” e.g. “In the appropriate position: her guests were all in situ”
lay-by - an area at the side of a road where vehicles may pull off the road and stop.
You must have an equivalent for “lay-by”? - Birder’s stopping place?
Your birds today are a dream wish list for a UK birder. Especially, Wilson’s Phalarope, Snowy Plover, Louisiana Waterthrush, Long-bllled Curlew and Indigo Bunting. Most of them are “possibles” in the UK if someone gets lucky.
These would be so nice to have printed out and framed! I was so busy telling my fish tale that I didn't get to link today! I always miss it so I'll visit the others! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteHello Anni, great variety of birds and lovely images. The Whistling ducks are one of my favorites. Awesome shot of the Waterthrush! Thank you for hosting, have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat Young Black Necked Stilt is SOOOO CUUUTE!!!
ReplyDelete~
Wow! All the pictures are well focused with clear cut composition!
ReplyDeleteLovely photographs! I am especially fond of the waterbirds this week, having just been out taking some photographs of them myself. Those are for a later blog. The curlew caught my eye because it might be one of the birds I saw this week and needed to ID. I have to go back and look at my pictures!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos of all the birds Anni! I would love to see those Whistling Ducks in person.
ReplyDeleteAnni, marvelous photos. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI think I favor the Curlew...great photos across the board...but he catches my eye!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteThese are so lovely Anni! I wish I had even a small fraction of your wonderful cached images so that I could link something ... I've been sort of birdless lately now that we live in the city during the summer and fall.
ReplyDeleteWonderful to see all these different birds. The colors and appearance of these birds are great. Tomorrow I will post a link to crossbill.
ReplyDeleteGreetings, Helma
