Pollywog and Bazemore Area...

All these birds were seen, among others [doves, pigeons, mockingbirds, sparrows, egrets, grebes, turkey vultures, silts, kingfisher, ibis, cardinals, green jays, and ducks], at the same areas while walking the trail around the two lakes and through the heavy growth of trees...Pollywog Ponds and Bazemore Park.

  6. The Great Kiskadee is one I've never seen! What a beautiful bird! I love them all and I know you were happy to have such a great day of birding. I went out today and some of the buzzards I saw thought I was walking slow enough to catch...I think! lol Enjoy your weekend! Hope we don't have a rainy week ahead!

  9. My favorite is the Kiskadee, we have none here. Are they bullies? What is the Sandpiper standing on?

  11. You have plenty of hawks this week Anni. Our Ospreys have all gone to Africa now, not that I see very many as they are still quite scarce unless in Scotland. The Kiskadee has great colourng and is a very striking bird. I guess that at some point that Solitary Sandpiper has to go into the wide world and do what sandpipers must do - LoL.

Thanks for the link today. Enjoy your Sunday.

  13. Your weekly gallery always takes me back to happy days spent birding in south Texas. Maybe now you can all get back to habitat restoration and enhancement rather than building walls.

  15. Sorry I forgot to put my post on when Saturday came around! Love your photos, I have a very soft spot for the birds of prey so long as they stay away from my garden 😊
Stay safe, and thanks for hosting, Diane
