All these birds were seen, among others [doves, pigeons, mockingbirds, sparrows, egrets, grebes, turkey vultures, silts, kingfisher, ibis, cardinals, green jays, and ducks], at the same areas while walking the trail around the two lakes and through the heavy growth of trees...Pollywog Ponds and Bazemore Park.

ReplyDeleteI love your magnificent hawk in the new header! Nice sightings and bird photos. I'd like to see Kiskadees again.
ReplyDeleteHello Anni,
ReplyDeleteI like the name Pollywog! I would love to go birding in this park. Great variety of birds and photos. Thanks for hosting. Take care, enjoy your weekend!
Beautiful captures Anni!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving all those hawks, Anni!!..:)jp
ReplyDeleteLove that beautiful kiskadee! And I also like the name of the pollywog Pond it always makes me smile when I see that name. Glad you got out and found all these beautiful birds
ReplyDeleteThe Great Kiskadee is one I've never seen! What a beautiful bird! I love them all and I know you were happy to have such a great day of birding. I went out today and some of the buzzards I saw thought I was walking slow enough to catch...I think! lol Enjoy your weekend! Hope we don't have a rainy week ahead!
ReplyDeletelove all the birds. I think I have seen all of them except the golden fronted woodpecker and the Red shouldered hawk, my favorite shot for today.
ReplyDeleteTake care :)
Great variety of birds! Lots of vultures there. Love the shot of the red tailed hawk about to take off in flight. Hope you are having a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the Kiskadee, we have none here. Are they bullies? What is the Sandpiper standing on?
ReplyDeleteThe hawks are my favorites! Thank you for hosting.
ReplyDeleteYou have plenty of hawks this week Anni. Our Ospreys have all gone to Africa now, not that I see very many as they are still quite scarce unless in Scotland. The Kiskadee has great colourng and is a very striking bird. I guess that at some point that Solitary Sandpiper has to go into the wide world and do what sandpipers must do - LoL.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link today. Enjoy your Sunday.
Beautiful collection of bird images Anni Stay safe and well
ReplyDeleteYour weekly gallery always takes me back to happy days spent birding in south Texas. Maybe now you can all get back to habitat restoration and enhancement rather than building walls.
ReplyDeleteThey are all good to see, a wonderful collection.
ReplyDeleteStay safe and well.
All the best Jan
Sorry I forgot to put my post on when Saturday came around! Love your photos, I have a very soft spot for the birds of prey so long as they stay away from my garden 😊
ReplyDeleteStay safe, and thanks for hosting, Diane
I'm seeing all those birds this month in Florida. An osprey just flew by my balcony, so close. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could see even half the birds you see....always fun to see what you post. I am no good at identifying hawks...
ReplyDeleteWow! Your photos of the hawks are awesome. You are indeed a fabulous photographer! I always enjoy your awesome photos.
