As I mentioned on my personal blog, I spent a few hours along the ship channel, just to watch the ships, fishermen, recreational boats on a beautiful Sunday morning [if you use the link to my personal blog you'll see the many different ships and boats]. Not only a lot of activity with the humans, but the water fowl was numerous. I stopped at a wildlife refuge first...

Then I drove to Robert's Community Park along the ship channel and watched the ferry boats that take vehicles across the channel. As I sat on a park bench in front of me...ships, fishermen, boaters, and birds, I saw White and Brown Pelicans, Avocets, Cormorants, and seagulls galore. I almost felt it was like a National Geographic moment...

The Avocets, Cormorants and other shore birds are beautiful and delightful to see. I wish that I could see them around here more often. Once in a while I will see a Cormorant. We are low on all kinds of birds this warmer than normal Winter season. I hope you are well.
