Hello Anni, I love the Kestrel shot and the Barn owl is awesome. I have yet to see a Barn Owl in the wild, maybe someday. Great birds and wonderful collection of photos. Thanks for hosting, enjoy your weekend!

DeleteI especially like the kestrel and the Barn Owl. The grackle's and cormorant's eyes really sparkle! (Here I go again-- the white at bend of wing, olive underparts, split eye ring and plain face suggest Orange-crowned Warbler-- what do yo think?)
ReplyDeleteThat day, there were several T Warblers flitting around. I didn't see any O C W at the time. And to me, tho the guide books show they're nearly the same in size, I think the T Warblers are a bit larger and 'heftier looking' as this one.

Deletei have a lot of favorites!!! the kestrel, the barn owl and the hummingbird....but the egret and the dove are marvelous!! so i guess that means i could not pick a favorite. but that's a good thing right??!! all are beautiful!!!

DeleteI so enjoyed seeing your favorites, Anni! What a fabulous year! We have had an American Kestrel hanging around here for about four months now and I never get tired of listening for him and watching him dart about. Such a neat bird. Have a great rest of your weekend!

Deletegorgeous set of birds again. It´s amazing. I have to travel to see them. And that is what I´m just about to do. On Friday I leave for Japan to shot birds and nature. Winter images. I will not be joining you for three weeks. See you then.

Anni, I am so jealous of that Kestrel shot! How did you get so close?? I always see them perched high up on wires and as soon as I park the car, they're outta there.
